Vision
We are coming to together to plant a church that can proclaim:
We exist to announce the arrival of the Kingdom of God by collectively living out the way of Jesus. To proclaim the whole gospel of Jesus for the whole world and to work for measurable change in the world.
Who are we?

Our Story
Listen… our story is messy.
We are a community full of various Christian denominational backgrounds. We are a community full of believers, doubters, & everything in between. We started this community in homes throughout the OKC area because we were passionate about following Jesus without all of the baggage. We started this church by having a huge meal together and praying about the new thing God was already doing in our city. Over time we started gathering regularly in homes for prayer, bible study, parties, etc. Eventually, a local neighborhood let us use their clubhouse for our gatherings. We then started to see other churches in the Oklahoma City area join in & support the work that was happening in our community.
1 church gave us a trailer for our Kids Ministry equipment, another church gave us a storage unit, another church supported us financially, and then over time more and more people, churches, & communities gave together to support the work that is happening at Koinonia. In January/February 2019, the Piedmont School system allowed us to start meeting for Sunday morning gatherings in the Stoneridge Elementary School.
So here we are… we are trying to figure out the next chapter to our journey but we know it involves gathering together weekly to learn the ways of Jesus, to expand our hearts for others, & to join God in sharing love for our OKC community.
P.S. We know our name (Koinonia) is hard to say, spell, etc. but thats kinda the point. We want to build relationships by getting to know each other. Our church is not some production or a product. Our church is the people. So the follow up question about our name & what it means is more important than the first invite. Koinonia is a New Testament Greek word that means “living in fellowship with BOTH God and others.” We like the sound of that.
Pray about it. Consider what it would look like to have your story join in ours. We would be honored.
